01Purpose and scope
These Terms govern the SCANPANG mobile application and related websites (the “Service”) provided by RainbowCompany (the “Company”), including conditions and procedures for use and the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and its users.
A “user” is a person who uses the Service under these Terms. A “member” is a user who creates an account through sign-in or another procedure established by the Company.
02Effect and amendments
The Company posts these Terms in the Service or on its website so users can review them. A service agreement is formed when a user agrees to the Terms and the Company accepts the application to use the Service.
The Company may amend these Terms within the limits of applicable law. It announces the changes, reasons, and effective date at least seven days before they take effect. Changes that are material or unfavorable to users are announced at least 30 days in advance, and members are notified individually.
Users who do not agree to amended Terms may stop using the Service and request account closure. The Company provides a separate consent procedure where agreement to amended Terms is required.
03Registration and account management
Members may register using sign-in methods offered by the Service, such as Google. Users must provide accurate information and must not use another person's account or impersonate another person.
Users must safeguard their accounts and authentication methods and notify the Company of problems such as account misuse. If identity theft, improper use, or a breach of law or these Terms is confirmed, the Company may restrict use after explaining the reason.
The Service is intended for users aged 14 or older. Children under 14 may not register or use features that involve providing personal information.
04Service provision and changes
SCANPANG uses camera, location, and device sensor information to display nearby buildings and places in augmented reality (AR), maps, and other views. Available features and supported devices may vary by app version, operating system, region, and network conditions.
The Company may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, outages, or network issues. Planned suspensions and material feature changes are announced in advance. In emergencies where advance notice is difficult, users are notified afterward.
If paid services are introduced, the Company separately explains prices, payment terms, cancellation rights, and refund conditions and obtains any required consent.
05AR and location-based features
AR features require camera access and device sensor information. Nearby place discovery and positioning require location access. Users may grant or withdraw permissions in operating system settings. Denying a permission may limit the related features.
During sessions using Google ARCore Geospatial, Google processes camera, location, and other sensor data for positioning. For details, see the AR data section of the Privacy Policy.
- Watch your surroundings while moving. Do not operate the AR screen while driving, cycling, or performing activities that require your attention.
- Do not enter private property without permission or unnecessarily capture other people's faces, license plates, or private spaces.
- Location, distance, building, and business information may contain errors or be out of date. Check on-site guidance and actual conditions first.
Service information is for reference and is not provided for emergency rescue, precision surveying, or safety decisions.
06User obligations
Users must comply with applicable law and these Terms and must not engage in the following activities:
- Misusing another person's personal information, account, or authentication information
- Disrupting the Service or placing excessive load on servers or networks without the Company's permission
- Hacking, spreading malware, bypassing access controls, or improperly obtaining service data
- Infringing the intellectual property, image rights, privacy, or other rights of the Company or third parties
- Spreading false information or using the Service for unlawful purposes
07Company obligations and privacy
The Company strives to provide a stable Service and receives and handles legitimate user feedback and complaints. Personal information is processed and protected under applicable law and the Privacy Policy.
The Company processes personal information only as needed to provide the Service and does not use it for other purposes or disclose it to third parties without a legal basis.
08Intellectual property
Rights to the Service's software, design, trademarks, and Company-created content belong to the Company or the rightful owners. Users may use them within the scope of the Service but may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit them without permission from the rights holder.
Public data and location or map information from external providers may be subject to those providers' terms and attribution requirements. These Terms do not transfer ownership of that data to users.
09Account closure and use restrictions
Members may request termination of their service agreement and deletion of related personal information at any time by submitting an Account and personal information deletion request. After verifying identity, the Company processes the request without delay and reports the outcome. For detailed procedures, see the Privacy Policy.
Depending on the severity of a breach of law or these Terms, the Company may issue a warning, temporarily suspend use, or terminate the agreement. It explains the reason and how to appeal. Urgent security action may be taken before notification.
10Liability and dispute resolution
If the Company or a user causes harm to the other through intent or negligence, liability is determined under applicable law. Liability for outages caused by natural disasters or circumstances beyond the Company's reasonable control may be limited to the extent permitted by law.
This clause does not limit the Company's liability for intent or gross negligence or users' statutory rights.
Disputes concerning the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The Company and users seek an amicable resolution through discussion. If litigation is necessary, jurisdiction is determined under the Civil Procedure Act and other applicable law.
